Standards & ethics

Argus Risk Management Ltd. provides a set of interlinked niche services within the Private Security sector. It doesn’t matter what we do, we apply the same principles and rigorous procedures to ensure that our clients receive an excellent service and above all we ensure that our services are within the law and importantly, ethically correct. Our services are provided by experienced and where appropriate qualified professionals. There are no short cuts that can be taken, to ensure professional private investigations you must instruct a professional, experienced company.

Compliance

We are compliant with our responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 1998. We will protect your data throughout the period of the investigation and beyond.

If you intend to use the services of a Private Investigator you must ensure the following are in place.

  • Is the company that you have selected registered with the Data Commissioner?
  • Is everyone within the organisation working on the task data compliant?
  • If utilising sub-contracted investigators are they insured and qualified?
  • Do they adhere to a strict code of ethics such as those laid down by the Association of British Investigators?
  • Have they produced an IA for you?

If you have not been able to answer these questions then you should look for an company that can provide you with the reassurance that you need.

Insured

We want to protect our people, your people and any little people that may be about whilst we are conducting our investigations.  Not being adequately insured is a recipe for disaster in all forms of life, this does not mater if you are coming to us an individual or a business. You simply must ensure that whoever you are dealing with is insured for the work that they are carrying out on your behalf.

Using an uninsured investigator highlights them as being:

  • Unprofessional
  • Ill-prepared
  • Inconsiderate
  • Ignorant

Data Protection

It has never been more important that your personal and business data is protected. Due to the type of business environment that we operate in it is absolutely essential that we set the standard for data protection and we do that by leading by example. Not only do we ensure that we are compliant in all respect to the Data Protection Act 1998 but we also advise you so that you can ensure that you are also compliant. This is particularly important for our business clients.

The Information Commissioners Office are rigorously following up suspected data protection issues. People and businesses are being fined due to data protection issues, some are even being given a custodial sentence. The data protection issue is only ever going to increase. We provide you with the reassurance that you require.
